These are the four areas I have identified as evolutionary steps for
all auctioneers. Often times, I hear people tell me about how they are
doing the #1 step until finally it gets boring. They ask me how to move
on and I recommend increasing volume but shooting for smaller profits
per transaction. They they get tired of these flips and I tell them to
move on to either crafting or bag opening. Finally, when they are ready
to become masters at the trading post, I have them crafting on a grand
scale.
These are the general steps of progression as people become better at the trading post. Where are you at?

What is step 3 and 4?
Buying crafting mats and create "final producr"?

Im not sure what steps 3 and 4 mean either. But i think im still at step 1. I tried #2, and i found that i had to put up 2-3 times as many orders, spend alot more time pricing and selling items, to get about the same profit as i would with a little higher priced items

Absolutely you can make money opening bags. Purchase with buy order when it's low and sell when the resulting materials are high.

I think upgrading materials at the MF could be an example of #3 & 4, a few days ago I noticed that tier four totems were 5-6 times more expensive than tier 3 totems, I started converting the T3s into T4s and was making good profit, even at low yields

I think you are missing out on a lot of gold by not flipping low cost cooking ingredients in high volumes, they are very stable markets and even although the profit margin is only 1-2c you can still easily sell thousands of them every day.

I was doing good since Christmas, I went from 1 gold to 70 gold, this past week I'm not sure where I went wrong. I have 46 Gold in the bank, 24 Gold in buy orders and potential of 28 Gold waiting to be sold. So from last week to this week I can say no growth stagnant.
I've been flipping individual 1 S to 1 Gold profits.
I've tried Flipping high volume. Aside from issues of storage, I seem to get outbided and the volume does not sell and get stagnant, I endup pulling and reselling at a loss. :(
