Where are you stuck currently?

I want to get this week going with some Q&A. Where are you stuck with learning to use the trading post? Are you failing at any of the following strategies:

Salvaging
Mystic Forge
Flipping - Armor vs Vegetables
Basic Flipping Strategy
Crafting
Speculation

Even if you have basic questions, I will gladly answer them both on the blog and via email (or live in a post's comment). Feel free to email or comment, and the subject matter for the next few blog posts will be your emails.

Thanks for your questions, hopefully I can give you insightful answers!

Hi Markco!I've been having trouble flipping vegetables and other crafting materials recently. Although there have been quite a few profitable ones, I've mostly been a bit unlucky with some of them as their price quickly dropped when I'm about to sell them (even up to the point where the price drops to the price you bought it for). My question is what do you do when that happens? Do you cut your losses and sell them for the price where you will have at least a bit of profit or do you wait until it gets to the price you had originally planned to sell it for?

Hey there! Appreciate your insights. I tried crafting some trinkets with pretty decent margins, but after I posted them (just in time for the weekend rush, so I thought), the price dropped by a few silver. Now that the weekend has passed, should I leave them there for a while, or take them off and relist them at the lower price?

Hi, This problem has been in my head for a while. When I do week term investment, buy in early week and sell on weekend. Should I list as soon as I get the item or wait till weekend to post? Or it doesn't matter at all?

I'm curious about these heavy price drops in jute and all around... made my money but how can it drop that fast that much?
btw what server do you play on?

Jute cloth goes up and down huge margins because of salvaging in general, but also random things like monthlies. It always returns to a profitable margin eventually, even if its 1 copper. For expect to milk it or more than a few days, as don't over invest in it.

Sorry phone sucks. Don't expect to milk it for*

If there is a profit, I take that small profit. Vegetables are about getting what you can and then getting out. If its a loss then I leave it up for a week before accepting defeat.

First, can you identify what is profitable based on buy order, sell order, and fees? Try sub level 35 armor.

Big margin? Take them off and only list one of each.

Try to sell a little bit each day. Don't dump it all at the end of the week. Worst case scenario you simply sell the items from this week into next week.
